• Second Scan - Tuesday 13th July 2006

We had our second scan today, back at Leigh Hospital at 4:00pm. With mum in tow we were determined to see some good pictures and find ou the sex. Much to my relief, we were there a bit longer this time, so we got to see a bit more of what the different bits are. On this scan we could see the heartbeat, a little black area moving bigger & smaller as the baby breathes. Although this had to be pointed out as Diane thought this was its mouth moving!

Is is now alot easier to determin the different parts os the body, like the head, body, legs etc.
In this scan picture the baby is lied on it's back with legs tucked up to its chest. This is not, as some people were quick to point out, a giant willy! but infact the left leg, it is around about this time that babies discover they have feet.
Still some confusion over the actual due date again. The scan says 10th but the midwife still has us down for 18th of december, eventually it was decided to go somewhere in between.
Also due to the positioning of the baby it wasn't possible for the ultrascan to show if it's a pink or a blue one!!! So we are booked in for another scan on 25th of July.
